Minister of Education: The Egyptian Baccalaureate is a fundamental step for developing the secondary stage
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, affirmed that the "Egyptian Baccalaureate" system represents a qualitative and important shift in the process of developing secondary education in Egypt. This step comes as part of the Ministry's comprehensive strategy to enhance the quality of the educational process and modernize curricula to align with international standards.
The Minister explained that this new system aims to better prepare students for the university stage and the labor market by focusing on developing students' core skills and analytical abilities, rather than relying entirely on rote memorization. This initiative is considered part of the Egyptian state's plan to improve the quality of education and provide an advanced learning environment.
Abdel Latif also pointed out that the Ministry is working to provide all the necessary resources to make this system a success, including training teachers and developing school infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and parents to ensure that students derive maximum benefit from these positive changes.
In concluding his remarks, the Minister stressed that the primary goal of these efforts is to build a new generation of graduates capable of competing in various fields, noting that the coming period will witness further executive steps to ensure the stability and development of the secondary education system in Egypt.
