Minister of Health: Egypt relies on modern technology to develop healthcare
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, affirmed that the Egyptian state places the development of the health sector at the top of its priorities during the current phase. The Minister pointed out that Egypt has already begun adopting new strategies based on innovation and advanced technology to improve the medical services provided to citizens.
This strategy relies primarily on expanding early disease detection programs. This step aims to reduce the rates of chronic diseases, which helps alleviate the burden on hospitals and provide better and faster healthcare to patients in various governorates.
The Minister's remarks came during his participation in the "Egy Health" conference, which is considered an important platform for exchanging expertise in the field of healthcare. Abdel Ghaffar explained that the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence in diagnosis and treatment has become an urgent necessity to keep pace with global developments in medicine.
These efforts come within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030, which seeks to build an integrated health system that ensures all Egyptians have access to high-quality medical services. The Ministry is currently working on training medical personnel on the use of new technological devices to ensure the best service is provided to the Egyptian citizen.
In conclusion, the Egyptian government confirms its ongoing commitment to developing health infrastructure, with a focus on prevention over treatment. It is expected that these steps will contribute to improving public health indicators in the country over the coming years.
