President Sisi: Egypt has never used the refugee file for political purposes
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that the Egyptian state has never used the refugee issue as a means to achieve any political goals or external pressure. These statements came within the framework of Egypt's emphasis on its humanitarian commitment toward its guests of various nationalities living on its territory.
President Sisi stressed during his speech the importance of activating the principle of "burden-sharing" among countries, especially in light of the current global economic challenges. He pointed out that hosting large numbers of refugees requires international cooperation to support host countries and ensure the provision of basic services to them in a dignified manner.
Egypt hosts millions of refugees from neighboring countries, providing them with opportunities to live and integrate into Egyptian society. The Egyptian government always emphasizes that dealing with this file stems from moral and humanitarian principles, far from any political calculations or bargaining.
In concluding his remarks, President Sisi called on the international community to assume its responsibilities toward global refugee crises, stressing that regional stability depends significantly on joint cooperation in managing these sensitive humanitarian files.
