Standard Chartered Foundation launches a program to support female entrepreneurs in Egypt
The Standard Chartered Foundation has announced the launch of the new 2026 edition of the "Women in Tech" program in Egypt. This initiative aims to support female entrepreneurs who manage technology startups, in collaboration with Village Capital and Entlaq.
The program provides intensive support to 12 women-led startups in Egypt. The support includes specialized training to help these companies become investment-ready, in addition to providing consulting services for business development and growth in the local market.
This step comes as part of efforts to enhance the role of women in the technology sector, as female entrepreneurs face significant challenges in accessing funding and technical expertise. The program seeks to overcome these obstacles by providing a stimulating work environment and a strong network of connections with investors.
It is expected that this program will contribute to creating new job opportunities and supporting the digital economy in Egypt. This initiative is considered part of the commitment of international institutions to support innovation and youth in the Egyptian market, which helps in transforming technical ideas into successful projects on the ground.
