Egypt explores strengthening cooperation with Danish companies in the medical device sector
The fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed an important meeting between the Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and a delegation of major Danish companies specializing in the medical field. This meeting aims to enhance opportunities for cooperation and joint investment in the medical devices and supplies sector in Egypt.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, reviewed the significant developments currently taking place in the country's pharmaceutical and medical supplies sector. Al-Ghamrawy emphasized the Egyptian state's commitment to localizing medical industries and developing the infrastructure for this vital sector in accordance with international standards.
For their part, representatives of the Danish companies expressed great interest in the Egyptian market, praising the efforts made by the Drug Authority to facilitate investment procedures and provide a stimulating work environment for foreign companies. The two parties also discussed ways to transfer modern technology and exchange technical expertise to support the healthcare system in Egypt.
This cooperation comes within the framework of Egypt's strategy to attract international investments and develop the healthcare sector, which contributes to providing advanced medical devices and supplies to citizens.
