Egyptian Drug Authority Strengthens Strategic Partnerships to Localize Vaccine Manufacturing in Africa
The Egyptian Drug Authority participated in the activities of the fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026, as part of the state's efforts to enhance health cooperation with African nations and develop the medical sector.
Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, witnessed the signing ceremony of a series of important strategic partnerships. These agreements primarily aim to localize vaccine manufacturing within Egypt and the African continent, in addition to transferring advanced medical technology.
This step comes as part of Egypt's strategy to achieve health security, as the Authority seeks to reduce reliance on imports and provide essential vaccines and medicines locally. These partnerships serve as an opportunity to exchange scientific and technical expertise between Egypt and its international and regional partners.
These initiatives are expected to contribute to supporting the Egyptian economy and developing the infrastructure for the pharmaceutical industries. Furthermore, these events underscore Egypt's leading role in spearheading health efforts within the African continent to ensure the provision of better healthcare for citizens.
