Egypt Aims to Increase Outsourcing Service Exports to $8 Billion by 2028
Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, announced that Egypt's exports of outsourcing services have achieved significant growth over the past period, reaching a value of $5.1 billion. These services are a fundamental part of the state's strategy to strengthen the digital economy and increase national income in foreign currency.
The Minister explained that the outsourcing sector in Egypt is witnessing significant development thanks to the availability of skilled and trained human resources in the fields of software and international call center services. Global companies are increasingly relying on Egypt as a regional hub to provide these technical services to their clients in various countries around the world.
The Egyptian government has set an ambitious plan aimed at raising the value of these exports to reach $8 billion by 2028. To achieve this goal, the Ministry is working to increase the number of specialists in information technology fields through intensive training programs targeting youth and recent graduates.
The state is also seeking to attract more foreign investment in this sector by offering incentives and facilities to global companies that wish to establish centers within Egypt. These investments contribute to creating new job opportunities for Egyptian youth in modern technical specializations that are in high demand in the global labor market.
In concluding his remarks, the Minister emphasized that Egypt possesses strong competitive advantages that make it a preferred destination for global technology companies. The state continues to develop digital infrastructure and support innovation to ensure the continued growth of this vital sector and the achievement of future economic targets.
