11 injured Jordanians transferred to Amman following bus accident in Egypt
The Jordanian authorities announced the transfer of 11 Jordanian citizens to their home country for medical treatment, following a tragic traffic accident they were involved in while in Egypt. This measure was carried out in implementation of royal directives to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical care.
The accident occurred when a bus carrying a number of tourists collided, resulting in varying injuries to these citizens. Immediately following the incident, the relevant authorities in Egypt moved to provide the necessary first aid to the injured in Egyptian hospitals before the decision to transfer them was made.
Based on joint coordination between the Egyptian and Jordanian authorities, a special aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force was prepared to transport the injured. This step aims to continue their treatment at Al-Hussein Medical City in the Jordanian capital, Amman, where specialized medical facilities are available.
This rapid response reflects the depth of the brotherly relations between Egypt and Jordan, and the mutual concern for the safety of citizens in both countries. The Jordanian Embassy in Cairo is currently following up on the final procedures to ensure the safe return of all the injured to their homeland.
