Egyptians lead trading on the Egyptian Exchange last week
The Egyptian Exchange witnessed notable activity last week, as recent reports showed clear dominance by local investors in market trading movements.
Official data indicated that Egyptian transactions accounted for 90.4% of total trading on listed stocks on the exchange, reflecting significant confidence from individual investors and national institutions in the performance of the local market.
In contrast, foreign investors recorded 6.6% of total transactions, while the share of Arab investors reached approximately 3.0%, after excluding special deals from the official calculations.
These figures indicate that the Egyptian investor is currently the primary driver of buying and selling activity on the exchange, in light of the economic changes witnessed by global and local markets.
The Egyptian Exchange continues to play a vital role in the national economy, as investors and experts regularly monitor these indicators to assess the state of the market and performance expectations for the coming period.
