Egyptian Drug Authority signs new cooperation protocol to enhance vocational training
The activities of the fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed an important step to support the health sector in Egypt. The Egyptian Drug Authority signed a new cooperation protocol with GlaxoSmithKline Egypt, with the aim of developing human resources working in the pharmaceutical field.
This cooperation focuses primarily on enhancing professional training and development programs for pharmacists and workers in the pharmaceutical sector. Through this partnership, the Authority seeks to raise the efficiency of workers, ensuring the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical services to Egyptian citizens in accordance with international standards.
This step comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's strategy to localize and develop the pharmaceutical industry, as continuous training is a fundamental pillar for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medicines circulating in the local market. The Africa Health ExCon also reflects Egypt's keenness to exchange expertise with major global companies.
It is expected that this protocol will contribute to creating advanced educational and training opportunities that help keep pace with the latest scientific developments in pharmaceutical sciences. The Egyptian Drug Authority confirms that such partnerships contribute to strengthening Egypt's position as a leading regional hub in the field of healthcare and pharmaceutical industries on the African continent.
