Egypt discusses enhancing cooperation with Danish companies in the medical supplies sector
The fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed an important meeting between the head of the Egyptian Drug Authority and a delegation from major Danish companies. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and open new horizons for investment in the medical devices and supplies sector within Egypt.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the significant investment opportunities available in the Egyptian market. The Egyptian Drug Authority emphasized that Egypt possesses strong strategic assets, in addition to an advanced industrial infrastructure in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, making it an attractive environment for global companies.
Both parties also discussed the advantages offered by Egypt's distinguished geographical location, which gives it the potential to become a regional hub for manufacturing and exporting medical products to countries on the African continent and the Middle East. These partnerships are part of the state's plan to localize medical industries and reduce reliance on imports.
