Limited fire controlled at B.TECH branch in Tanta
Civil defense forces in Gharbia Governorate successfully controlled a limited fire that broke out inside a branch of the B.TECH home appliance company in Tanta, with no injuries reported among employees or citizens.
Initial inspection by security services indicated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in one of the air conditioning units located on the second floor of the building. The rapid intervention of firefighting teams helped prevent the flames from spreading to other parts of the branch or neighboring properties.
Following the extinguishing of the fire, the competent authorities carried out the necessary cooling operations to ensure that the fire would not reignite. Official investigations have also begun to determine the exact causes of the incident and to verify that safety and security requirements are met within the building.
Local authorities in Egypt consistently emphasize the importance of periodic maintenance for electrical appliances, especially air conditioners, to avoid electrical short-circuit accidents that could threaten the safety of facilities and citizens.
