Egypt condemns the attack on Kuwait and reaffirms its support for Gulf security and stability
The Arab Republic of Egypt has expressed its strong condemnation and categorical rejection of the recent attack on the State of Kuwait, which targeted one of its electricity generation and water desalination plants.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in an official statement Egypt's full support for the sisterly State of Kuwait in the face of any threats to its security or stability. Cairo emphasized that the security of the Arabian Gulf region is an integral part of Egyptian national security.
In its statement, Egypt also called for the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs, expressing its complete solidarity with the Kuwaiti people in preserving their vital facilities and national assets.
These statements come within the framework of Egypt's constant keenness to enhance joint Arab cooperation, and to emphasize its firm position regarding maintaining stability in the Arab region and avoiding any escalation that might affect the security and safety of its peoples.
