Egypt and Singapore discuss strengthening joint cooperation in various fields
The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs received his Singaporean counterpart in Cairo, as part of the Egyptian state's efforts to strengthen its diplomatic and economic relations with various countries around the world. This visit comes at a time when Egypt is seeking to open new horizons for international cooperation that serve its national interests.
The meeting addressed ways to advance bilateral relations between the two countries, as the ministers discussed a number of issues of common interest. The two parties focused on the importance of increasing trade exchange and stimulating investments between Cairo and Singapore, especially in the fields of technology and logistics, for which Singapore is known.
The two sides also touched upon the exchange of expertise in the fields of education and vocational training, with the Singaporean side praising the development Egypt is witnessing in infrastructure projects. The ministers emphasized the importance of continuous coordination in international forums to exchange views on current regional and global issues.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties agreed to form joint working committees to follow up on the implementation of the agreed-upon projects and initiatives. This step is part of Egypt's foreign strategy to strengthen its partnerships with East Asian countries, which contributes to supporting the Egyptian economy and creating new job opportunities for youth.
