The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the incident involving the targeting of the Egyptian port of Damietta using a drone. This statement came in the context of monitoring recent security developments in the region, as the Council expressed its categorical rejection of any threats affecting the security and stability of Egyptian territory.
In his official statement, Al-Budaiwi emphasized the full support of the Gulf Cooperation Council states for the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also stressed the Council's support for all measures taken by the Egyptian state to protect its national security and preserve the safety of its vital facilities and strategic ports.
This move serves as a confirmation of the depth of the historical relations and strong ties that unite Egypt and the Gulf states. The statement noted that Egypt's stability is a fundamental pillar for the security and stability of the entire Arab region, which necessitates the joining of international and regional efforts to confront such security challenges.

Official efforts continue to strengthen security measures around ports and vital facilities to ensure the continued safe and stable movement of trade and navigation.
