Egyptian Drug Authority signs cooperation protocol to enhance training in the medical sector
The activities of the fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed an important step to support the health sector in Egypt. The Egyptian Drug Authority signed a new cooperation protocol with GlaxoSmithKline Egypt, with the aim of developing human resources working in the pharmaceutical field.
This protocol focuses primarily on enhancing training and professional development programs. Through this partnership, the Authority seeks to raise the efficiency of workers in the pharmaceutical sector, in line with the latest international standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulation.
The cooperation also aims to exchange expertise and knowledge between the Authority and the company, which contributes to improving the quality of medical services provided to citizens. This initiative is part of the Egyptian state's strategy to develop the health system and localize the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt.
This event comes within the framework of Egypt's keenness to strengthen its position as a regional hub for healthcare in Africa. It is expected that this cooperation will lead to tangible positive results in developing the skills of pharmacists and specialists, which will directly reflect on the quality and safety of medicines available in the Egyptian market.
