“Agri-Tech for Egypt” project to support 200,000 Egyptian farmers
The Agricultural Research Center in Egypt has announced the launch of a new project titled “Agri-Tech for Egypt.” This ambitious project aims to provide technical and technological support to approximately 200,000 farmers across the various governorates of the country, as part of the state’s efforts to develop the agricultural sector.
The project relies primarily on providing innovative and modern solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change on agricultural crops. Through the use of advanced agricultural technology, the project seeks to help farmers adapt to the changing weather conditions that affect productivity.
In addition, the project focuses on reducing the production costs borne by farmers, which helps them improve their standard of living. It also aims to increase the quantity and quality of produced crops, which contributes to enhancing food security in Egypt and providing agricultural products at affordable prices for citizens.
This project comes as an important step toward digital transformation in Egyptian agriculture, as farmers are trained to use modern scientific methods in irrigation and farming. It is expected that this collaboration between the Agricultural Research Center and the farmers will lead to tangible positive results in the near future.
