Launch of "Climathon Upper Egypt" to Support Green Innovation in Qena
The Egyptian Ministry of Environment has announced the launch of the "Climathon Upper Egypt – Green Innovation Challenge" in Qena Governorate. This initiative aims to encourage youth and entrepreneurs to present innovative solutions to address climate change and protect the environment in Upper Egypt.
The competition seeks to support the transition toward a more sustainable and eco-friendly economy. Through this challenge, the Ministry provides a platform for youth to showcase their ideas and projects that contribute to solving local environmental problems in scientific and practical ways.
This event is an important step toward empowering youth in the Upper Egypt governorates, as it gives them the opportunity to develop their skills in the field of green innovation. The challenge also helps bridge the gap between young ideas and local market needs, which assists in creating new job opportunities based on clean technology.
These activities come within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts to enhance environmental awareness and encourage investment in green projects. The Ministry of Environment hopes that this edition of the "Climathon" will result in implementable projects on the ground, which will enhance the local community's ability to adapt to global environmental challenges.
