New Collaboration Between Huawei and AIS to Manufacture Energy Storage Systems in Egypt
Global company Huawei and the Egyptian company AIS have signed a new memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing the local manufacturing of battery energy storage systems in Egypt. This step comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts to develop the renewable energy sector and increase reliance on modern technology in this field.
The agreement focuses primarily on manufacturing energy storage systems based on "grid-forming" technology. This technology is highly advanced, as it helps stabilize electrical grids and supports the more efficient and secure integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power.
Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to transfer global technological expertise to the Egyptian market. The project also seeks to localize the industry, which contributes to reducing reliance on imports and providing new job opportunities for young Egyptians in the technology and energy sectors.
This partnership is considered an important step toward achieving Egypt's Vision 2030 in the field of sustainable energy. This collaboration is expected to improve the efficiency of the country's electrical infrastructure, ensuring the provision of stable and sustainable energy for citizens and various industrial projects in the future.
