New “Agri-Tech” Project Supports 200,000 Farmers in Egypt to Combat Climate Change
The Agricultural Research Center in Egypt has announced the launch of a new project titled “Agri-Tech for Egypt.” This ambitious project aims to provide support and assistance to approximately 200,000 Egyptian farmers across various governorates to improve agricultural quality and increase crop yields in the country.
The project primarily focuses on finding innovative solutions to address the challenges resulting from climate change. With shifting temperatures and the impact on water resources, farmers have become in dire need of modern technologies that help them protect their crops and ensure the continuity of agricultural production in a sustainable manner.
In addition, the “Agri-Tech” project seeks to help farmers reduce agricultural production costs. Through the use of modern technology, farmers can save on expenses and increase production volume simultaneously, thereby boosting their annual income and improving their standard of living.
The center will also provide specialized training for farmers on how to use digital tools and advanced agricultural techniques. This step is considered part of the state's comprehensive plan to develop the agricultural sector and transform it into a science-based sector to confront global economic and environmental crises.
In conclusion, this project represents a significant step toward achieving food security in Egypt. The results of this cooperation between the Agricultural Research Center and the farmers are expected to emerge soon, contributing to building a stronger and more stable agricultural future for coming generations.
