Egypt Hosts the Mediterranean Technical and Vocational Education Forum in the New Administrative Capital
The New Administrative Capital in Egypt recently hosted the events of the "Mediterranean Technical and Vocational Education Forum." This event was organized jointly by the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, as part of efforts to enhance international cooperation in the fields of skills development.
The forum aims to highlight the importance of technical and vocational education as a fundamental pillar for achieving social and economic progress. Participants discussed ways to develop educational curricula to keep pace with the changing needs of the labor market in Mediterranean countries.
Officials emphasized during the events that investing in human capital and skills development is the main driver for future growth. Successful experiences in the field of technical education were also reviewed, with a focus on exchanging expertise between Egypt, Italy, and other participating countries.
This forum comes at a time when the Egyptian state is paying great attention to developing the technical education system, with the aim of preparing a generation of youth capable of competing in local and global markets. This step is considered part of a broader strategy to link education with the requirements of sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the events, participants agreed on the necessity of continuing joint cooperation between countries in the region to enhance the quality of technical education. It is expected that the outcomes of this forum will contribute to establishing a new roadmap for developing the professional skills of youth in Mediterranean countries.
