Efforts to Enhance Financial Inclusion and Women's Empowerment in the City of Esna, Luxor
The National Council for Women's branch in Luxor Governorate organized a series of awareness-raising events and seminars in the city of Esna, with the aim of promoting financial inclusion among women. This initiative comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts to support and economically empower women across various governorates, especially in the most needy areas.
The seminars focused on explaining the importance of digital financial services and how to use them in daily life. Women were also trained on how to open bank accounts and use electronic payment applications, which helps them manage their small projects and develop their businesses more efficiently and securely.
The events witnessed a large turnout from the women of Esna, who showed great interest in learning about the available banking facilities. The organizers of the initiative emphasized that the primary goal is to integrate women into the formal banking system, which contributes to improving the standard of living for Egyptian families and creating new job opportunities.
This step is part of a comprehensive national strategy aimed at achieving sustainable development in Upper Egypt. These activities are scheduled to continue to include other villages and centers in Luxor Governorate, to ensure that financial services reach the largest possible number of women in rural areas.
At the conclusion of the events, participants praised the role played by the National Council for Women in raising financial awareness. These initiatives are part of Egypt's Vision 2030, which places women's empowerment and financial inclusion as fundamental priorities for achieving economic growth and social justice throughout the country.
