Germany and Saudi Arabia Seal Major Energy Partnership for the Future
Germany and Saudi Arabia have agreed to significantly expand their energy cooperation following high-level talks in Riyadh. The deal aims to strengthen economic ties and develop future-focused sectors such as clean energy and advanced technology.
During an official visit, German Economy Minister كاتارينا رايشه signed ten letters of intent enabling German companies to deepen cooperation with Saudi partners. These agreements are designed to support long-term collaboration between businesses in both countries.
The planned cooperation covers strategic areas including energy systems, artificial intelligence, hydrogen technology, and industrial innovation. Both sides see these sectors as essential for future economic growth and technological leadership.
The German minister said the partnership also supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to reduce its dependence on oil revenues. By investing in new industries, the country aims to protect its economy from fluctuating oil prices, lower unemployment, and offer better opportunities for its young population.
The agreement further strengthens cooperation between public and private sectors in both countries. Officials described the partnership as a step toward building a more diversified and resilient energy and industrial relationship between Germany and Saudi Arabia.
