Hotel fire in India claims multiple lives
A serious accident has occurred in India, where a devastating fire broke out at a hotel on Tuesday, August 18. The fire took place in the town of Tarapith, which is known as a popular pilgrimage destination.
According to authorities, eight people died in the accident. In addition, several other people sustained injuries and are currently being treated at a hospital.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the fire was likely an electrical fault. The fire department brought the blaze under control, but the building sustained significant damage.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. So far, there have been no reports of Finnish tourists being involved in the accident.
