Defense technology is being tested in extreme conditions in Northern Finland
The Griffin Tech Days 2026 event is currently being held in Northern Finland, focusing on testing new defense technology. The event is particularly significant for Finnish special forces, as it offers an opportunity to trial the latest technological innovations in demanding conditions.
Finland's Arctic climate places heavy demands on equipment. The tools being tested at the event are being trialed in temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius. Such cold weather is an excellent environment to ensure that modern technology functions reliably even when conditions are challenging.
According to the Finnish Defence Forces, such test periods are essential for ensuring that Finnish troops stay up to date with developments in the field. New innovations help improve performance and ensure that the equipment in use meets the requirements of today's security environment.
Griffin Tech Days brings together experts and developers working in the field of defense technology. The results of the event will help determine what kinds of solutions will be utilized in Finland's defense in the future.
