Classic comedy Uuno Turhapuro muuttaa maalle airs on television today
Uuno Turhapuro, one of the most well-known characters in Finnish film history, will be seen on television today. The 1986 comedy film "Uuno Turhapuro muuttaa maalle" ("Uuno Turhapuro Moves to the Countryside") offers viewers a dose of Finnish humor and nostalgia.
The film is one of the most popular installments in the series and has left a lasting mark on Finnish popular culture. The Uuno Turhapuro character has entertained Finns for decades, and the works in the film series remain familiar to many.
What makes the film particularly interesting is that a video game based on it was also developed for the Commodore 64 home computer back in the day. This was the first time an official computer game was made from a Finnish film, which was a significant technological achievement in the 1980s.
In addition to the traditional television broadcast, the film can also be watched on MTV's streaming service. This offers modern viewers an easy way to explore the history of domestic comedy and see how Uuno Turhapuro handles the challenges of the countryside.
