Finland's trade balance strengthened in June – exports and imports on the rise
Finland's foreign trade has shown strong growth in the first half of 2026. According to recent statistics, Finland's trade balance showed a surplus of 1.9 billion euros in June, which reflects the strong performance of the country's exports.
Between January and June, the total value of Finnish exports rose by 14.4 percent compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the value of imports also grew by 15.4 percent. These figures indicate that international trade has picked up significantly during the first half of the year.
Export growth is important for the Finnish economy, as it supports employment and national prosperity. Although imports have also increased, the high volume of exports has kept the trade balance positive, which is a sign of economic stability.
According to experts, the growth in trade reflects changes in the global market situation and strengthening demand for Finnish products abroad. The statistics provide a positive picture of the direction of the Finnish economy during the current year.
