Defense technology tested in Arctic conditions in Northern Finland
The Griffin Tech Days 2026 event has been held in Northern Finland, focusing on testing the latest defense technology. The event is particularly important for the Finnish Defence Forces and special forces, as it allows for the trial of new innovations in demanding conditions.
Finland's Arctic climate provides a unique environment for technology development. During the tests, equipment and systems are tried out in temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius. Such conditions are critical to ensure the functionality and reliability of the equipment even in extreme cold.
According to the Defence Forces, the event is a significant step in developing Finnish defense expertise. Cooperation between industry experts and companies helps find solutions that improve performance in northern regions. New innovations could strengthen Finland's security in the future.
The Griffin Tech Days event demonstrates that Finland is a pioneer in Arctic technology research. The results of the tests will be utilized in the future development of Defence Forces equipment and in international cooperation.
