Ukraine is developing new defense technology and seeking cooperation from Finland
Ukraine is currently actively developing new unmanned combat systems to defend itself against Russia's invasion. The use of robotics and various types of drones has taken on a central role in warfare, and the country is now investing heavily in reforming its own defense industry.
As part of this development work, Ukrainian actors are looking for international partners with whom they can share expertise and develop new technology. Cooperation opportunities are also being explored in Finland, and Tampere's technological expertise in particular has sparked interest.
Tampere is known for its strong technology and industrial hub, which makes it a natural destination for defense sector cooperation. Ukraine's goal is to find partners with whom they can accelerate the development and production of defense solutions.
Cooperation between Finnish companies and Ukraine could offer new opportunities for both parties. At the same time, it would strengthen Ukraine's ability to defend itself with modern and effective methods in a changing security situation.
