Finnish universities receive millions for the recruitment of top international researchers
The Research Council of Finland has granted a total of 22.5 million euros to Finnish universities. The purpose of this funding is to attract high-level international researchers to our country. This investment is part of a broader effort to strengthen Finland's position as an international hub for research and science.
The funding enables the hiring of new top-tier researchers at various universities across Finland. According to the Research Council of Finland, the goal is to strengthen Finnish research expertise and promote scientific cooperation across borders. The new researchers will bring with them valuable expertise and fresh perspectives to the Finnish scientific community.
The recruitment program is a significant investment in the future. Universities can use the funds for purposes such as researcher salaries and the establishment of research groups. This will help Finnish universities compete for the best talent in the global market.
The decision by the Research Council of Finland has been well received in the higher education sector. The investment is expected to improve the quality and impact of Finnish research in the long term. The application process and the selection of researchers will begin shortly, and the first new researchers are expected to start their work at Finnish universities soon.
