The Finnish Athletics Federation has named its new athletics coaching groups
The Finnish Athletics Federation (SUL) has announced the official athletics coaching groups for the upcoming 2026–2027 season. The selections apply to senior-level athletes aiming for success in future major championships.
The coaching groups are divided into two different levels: Team Finland Elite and Team Finland Challengers. The purpose of these groups is to support the development of Finnish athletes and provide them with the best possible conditions for training and competition.
Athletes who have already demonstrated their ability at the international level have been selected for the Team Finland Elite group. The challenger group, meanwhile, focuses on younger or rising athletes who have the potential to reach the top in the coming years.
The selections made by SUL are an important step in preparing for the years ahead. The goal of the coaching groups is to ensure that Finnish athletics has strong representation in future European Championships, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
