Finnish industrial turnover grew significantly in August
The situation for Finnish industry is looking brighter, as the latest data shows that the sector's turnover has increased considerably. According to Statistics Finland, the working-day adjusted turnover of the industry rose by a total of 11.8 percent in August 2026 compared to the same period the previous year.
This growth is a significant sign of an upturn in industrial activity. Working-day adjustment means that the statistics have taken into account calendar differences, such as the number of weekdays, which makes the comparison to the previous year more reliable.
Growth in industrial turnover is an important indicator for the entire Finnish national economy. When industrial companies sell more of their products, it generally also supports employment and investment in the country.
Although one month does not yet indicate the development for the entire year, the August figures are positive news for the economy. Experts are now closely monitoring whether this growth will continue throughout the remainder of the year.
