University of Helsinki medieval research featured on television
Researchers from the University of Helsinki have gained visibility on national television. The subject is the CHARM research project, which focuses on medieval texts and the act of writing them.
The research examines, in particular, medieval craftsmanship and how literacy developed during that era. The researchers are investigating the types of tools and methods medieval scribes had at their disposal when they copied and preserved valuable texts.
