Kimitoön has received a prestigious sustainable tourism label
Kimitoön has received the official Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) label. The label is awarded by Visit Finland and serves as a sign of the region's commitment to sustainable tourism.
The STF program is intended for tourism companies and regions that wish to develop their operations to be more environmentally friendly. Receiving the label requires long-term work and meeting strict criteria. Kimitoön is now one of the Finnish destinations that meet these requirements.
The importance of sustainable tourism is constantly growing as travelers increasingly seek ecological and responsible options. The label helps travelers identify destinations that consider the preservation of nature and local culture in their operations.
Kimitoön's achievement is an important step in the development of tourism in the region. The label strengthens the island's position as an attractive and responsible travel destination for both domestic and international visitors.
