New data center to be built in Mikkeli – Orka Technologies confirms its investment
The Finnish-Icelandic company Orka Technologies has made a significant decision to build a new data center in Mikkeli. The project has reached an important stage, as the company has secured the necessary investments and solutions for connecting the new center to the power grid.
Data centers are extremely important today, as they store and process vast amounts of digital information. According to Orka Technologies, the Mikkeli project is designed to meet the growing demand required by energy-intensive infrastructure projects. The project is a significant boost to the local economy.
According to the plans, the project is not limited to just the initial construction phase. The company has also secured the possibility to expand the data center in the future. This means that over time, an even larger digital infrastructure hub could emerge in Mikkeli, providing new jobs and strengthening the region's technological expertise.
The investment decision is proof that Finland is an attractive destination for large international technology projects. A stable operating environment and functional energy infrastructure are key factors that enable the realization of such large projects across the country.
