Finnish and Indian companies collaborate to develop biogas plants
Finnish and Indian companies have launched a new collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable energy production in India. The companies have established a joint venture called Arcistar Bioenergy Pvt Ltd, which focuses on the construction and development of biogas plants.
A key objective of the joint venture is to supply modular biogas plants to the Indian market. These plants utilize Finnish technology and expertise, but they are manufactured locally in India. This approach, in line with the “Make in India” strategy, supports local industry and creates new jobs.
The biogas plants are designed to efficiently convert organic waste into energy. The technology enables the utilization of agricultural and industrial side streams, which reduces environmental impact and provides renewable energy for local use.
This project is a significant step in the export of Finnish cleantech expertise. The collaboration demonstrates how Finnish companies can provide solutions to global challenges, such as the energy crisis and waste management, in cooperation with international partners.
