Finland's first two-story ice arena to be built at Hippos in Jyväskylä
A significant construction project is underway in the Hippos area of Jyväskylä, which will transform the city's sports landscape. Finland's only two-story ice arena is currently being built at Hippos, offering new and modern facilities for both sports clubs and enthusiasts.
The new ice arena is designed as a versatile center that will serve both daily training and large competitions and events. The two-story design allows for efficient use of space and provides better facilities for various ice sports.
The project has taken a new step forward, as the city has selected a new contractor group for the construction site. This selection ensures that construction can continue as planned and that the project moves toward completion.
According to the City of Jyväskylä, the new ice arena is an important part of the development of the Hippos area. The goal is to create a modern center for sports and well-being that will attract users from all over Finland.
Construction work is actively continuing in the area, and upon completion, the new arena is expected to significantly improve Jyväskylä's ability to host national and international ice sports events.
