The Finnish Defence Forces to acquire over one hundred new Patria TREMOS mortar systems
The Finnish Defence Forces are strengthening the striking power of their army with a significant acquisition. Defence company Patria has announced that it will supply Finland with over one hundred new TREMOS mortar systems. It is a modern and mobile system designed to meet the demands of modern warfare.
Patria TREMOS is an innovative mortar concept that improves the ability of troops to move quickly across terrain. A key advantage of the system is its high mobility, which allows for the rapid changing of firing positions. This is a critical feature in situations where a quick response capability is essential.
The new system has been developed specifically to meet the challenges of the modern battlefield. It will allow the Defence Forces to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of indirect fire. The acquisition is part of a broader plan to upgrade Finland's defence equipment to meet the changed security environment.
Patria expects the acquisition to strengthen the company's position in the defence equipment market. The Finnish Defence Forces' decision to invest in domestic technology simultaneously supports security of supply and industrial expertise in Finland. The new systems will be phased into service over the coming years.
