Finland to begin satellite cooperation with its allies
Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen has announced that Finland will begin developing a new form of satellite cooperation together with other NATO countries. The goal is to strengthen the security of Finland and its allies in space and to improve information exchange.
The importance of satellites in modern defence has grown significantly. They help monitor the situation beyond national borders and ensure that critical information moves quickly and reliably. Cooperation with allies enables the sharing of resources and technological development.
In recent years, Finland has increasingly invested in international defence cooperation. With its NATO membership, Finland is actively involved in developing joint capabilities that support the security of the entire defence alliance. Satellite cooperation is one concrete step in this development.
According to Minister Häkkänen, the project is an important part of Finland's defence policy. Cooperation with other countries helps Finland stay up to date with technological developments and ensures that the country's defence remains as effective as possible in the future.
