Finland's economy is growing faster than expected
The Finnish economy has returned to growth, and according to recent estimates, this development will continue at a clearly faster pace this year than previously anticipated. According to an interim forecast by the Bank of Finland, the country's gross domestic product will grow by 1.7 percent during 2024.
The growth is driven in particular by the strengthening of the export sector. Finland's export portfolio includes several sectors that have proven resilient to international crises. These sectors are not as sensitive to, for example, energy price fluctuations caused by the situation in the Middle East or other global disruptions.
Although uncertainty in the global economy has persisted, the outlook for the Finnish economy has brightened. According to experts, the economic recovery is a significant turning point after the slower growth of recent years. Stable exports are helping Finland adapt to the changing global situation.
The continuation of economic growth is important news for Finnish companies and employment. Although challenges still exist, the forecast provides a positive picture of Finland's ability to maintain its competitiveness in international markets.
