Defense technology tested in extreme conditions in Northern Finland
The Griffin Tech Days 2026 event has been held in Northern Finland, focusing on testing the latest defense technology. The event is particularly important for the Finnish Defence Forces' special operations units, as it provides an opportunity to test new innovations in challenging Arctic conditions.
The focus of the tests has been on the functionality of equipment in extremely cold weather. During the event, the performance of the technology has been measured in temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius. Such conditions are typical for a Finnish winter, and it is therefore essential that military equipment functions reliably even in severe frost.
Griffin Tech Days brings together experts and manufacturers to develop solutions that improve defense capabilities in northern regions. The goal of these new technologies is to ensure that the equipment used by special forces is as efficient and durable as possible in all situations.
The Finnish Defence Forces consider such cooperation and testing to be a significant part of developing the country's security. The results of the event will help in selecting the best possible equipment for the needs of Finland's defense in the future.
