Business Finland grants 30 million euros to six new innovation projects
Business Finland has announced that it will fund six new projects with a total of approximately 30 million euros. These are so-called "Näytönpaikka" (Proof of Concept) projects, which aim to promote Finnish expertise and technological development. The funding represents a significant investment in Finnish research and product development.
According to Business Finland, the quality of the applications was exceptionally high this time. Experts noted that the applicant pool included unprecedentedly strong proposals, which made the selection process challenging. The selected projects represent a wide range of industries and are believed to strengthen Finland's competitiveness in international markets.
The purpose of these projects is to create new solutions that address future challenges. With the help of this funding, companies and research institutions can take their innovations from the laboratory to practical application and commercial use. The initiative places particular emphasis on collaboration between different stakeholders.
According to Business Finland, the funding decisions are part of a broader strategy to support Finnish growth and exports. The six selected projects will now receive the necessary resources to continue their development work, and their progress will be closely monitored over the coming years.
