Tour de France: Ramses Debruyne forced to withdraw
The Tour de France saw a new twist this morning. Belgian rider Ramses Debruyne, a member of the Alpecin-Premier Tech team, was forced to leave the competition before the start of today's stage.
The cyclist held an interesting position in the general classification, sitting in 18th place. This performance showed that he had been in good physical shape since the start of the French race.
Unfortunately, Ramses Debruyne is suffering from an illness that prevents him from continuing the intense effort required by the Tour. His team confirmed that he was no longer able to pedal and therefore had to abandon the Grande Boucle to rest.
This withdrawal is a disappointment for the young rider and his team, which loses an important element in the peloton. The organizers of the Tour de France wished him a speedy recovery.
