Euro 2024: France team eliminated by Spain in the semi-finals
The adventure of Les Bleus at Euro 2024 came to an end this Tuesday evening in Dallas. The French national football team was defeated by Spain with a score of 2-0 during a highly anticipated semi-final. Despite a promising start to the match, the French players were unable to contain the Spanish dominance throughout the encounter.
Kylian Mbappé, the captain of Les Bleus, reacted to this difficult defeat after the match. In an interview granted to the M6 channel, he acknowledged that the team had failed to put forth the necessary effort to reach the final. "We didn't put all the ingredients in to reach the final," he stated honestly in front of the cameras.
This defeat marks the end of the European journey for Didier Deschamps' men. After a tournament where the French defense was often solid, the attack lacked precision against a particularly efficient and organized Spanish team. The Spaniards, for their part, logically qualify for the final of the competition.
For French supporters, this elimination is a disappointment, as the French team was among the favorites to win the title. The players will now return to France to take some time to rest before preparing for the next international fixtures. The results of this tournament will be analyzed in the coming days by the technical staff and the French Football Federation.
