Change of spokesperson at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands
An important change has taken place within the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the European Union. Rutger Fransen officially took up his duties as spokesperson at the beginning of this month.
He succeeds Melle van Dijk, who held this position until now. This role is essential for ensuring communication between the Dutch government and the European institutions based in Brussels.
The Permanent Representation plays a key role in European diplomacy. It allows the Netherlands to defend its interests and actively participate in the decisions made by the European Union, particularly on issues that directly concern member countries, including France.
This renewal of the team is part of the standard operations of diplomatic representations. Rutger Fransen will now be responsible for conveying his country's official positions on current political and economic issues.
