World Championships in Guiyang: a difficult outcome for the French team
The World Championships, which took place in Guiyang, China, came to an end this Sunday. This international competition brought together the best athletes in the discipline, who traveled from all over the world to try and secure a place on the podium.
For the French delegation, the event was marked by mixed results. The young 21-year-old athlete Mathilde Derval carried the French hopes during this final. Despite a determined performance, she finished in 17th place in the general classification with a total of 1,390 points.
This result highlights the difficulty for French athletes to compete against a very high level of international competition. With only one medal collected throughout the entire competition, the overall performance of the French team is considered disappointing by sports observers.
The end of these championships now marks a period of reflection for the athletes and their coaches. In the coming months, the focus will be on analyzing the technical points to improve in order to best prepare for future sporting events and to return more competitive on the world stage.
