G7: Strengthened support for Ukraine
During a recent meeting in Évian, G7 leaders displayed total unity regarding the situation in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received promises of firm support from the major world powers present at the event.
Discussions focused primarily on the continuation of economic sanctions against Russia. These measures aim to limit Moscow's financial capabilities and maintain constant international pressure to encourage a return to peace.
In parallel, the European Union and Canada reaffirmed their commitment to providing concrete aid to Ukraine. This support includes not only financial resources, but also essential logistical and humanitarian assistance for the Ukrainian population in the face of current challenges.
This meeting in Évian highlights the importance of international cooperation in this major conflict. G7 countries hope that this solidarity will remain lasting in order to ensure the stability of the region in the long term.
