Ebola: First case cured & heatwave on the Tour
France records the recovery of its first patient suffering from Ebola, marking an important milestone for public health. In parallel, security measures are planned for the Tour de France in the event of extreme heat. Internationally, Ukraine is intensifying its attacks against Russian oil infrastructure.
The first patient diagnosed with the Ebola virus in France is officially cured and has left the hospital. This announcement from health authorities confirms the end of care for this case on national territory. The patient no longer poses a risk of transmission, validating the medical safety protocols put in place.
Heat protection measures will be implemented along the Tour de France route in the event of a heatwave. The Ministry of the Interior has issued instructions to prefects — the state representatives in the departments — to adapt public reception and rider safety if temperatures reach critical thresholds during the competition's stages.
This vigilance comes within an unstable international context, where Ukraine has increased strikes against oil refineries in Russia. These drone attacks aim to reduce Moscow's energy resources in direct response to the Russian bombardments of Ukrainian infrastructure.
