Fabien Barthez makes his big return to the France team staff
The French football world is in a frenzy following a major announcement: Fabien Barthez, the iconic 1998 World Cup-winning goalkeeper, is officially joining the France team's technical staff.
This appointment marks a significant change for Les Bleus. Fabien Barthez replaces Franck Raviot, who had held the position of national team goalkeeping coach since 2010. This departure brings an end to a fourteen-year era under Raviot's leadership.
The arrival of the former international goalkeeper raises many questions about the future organization of the staff. Observers are now waiting to see how this football legend will collaborate with Zinédine Zidane, whose name is regularly linked to the future of the Les Bleus bench.
This choice by the French Football Federation seems to prioritize experience and a winning spirit. By integrating a player who has left his mark on the history of French sport, the management hopes to bring a new dynamic to the current goalkeepers of the national team.
French supporters will be watching Fabien Barthez's first steps in his new role with great interest during the upcoming gatherings. This return of a historic figure is seen as a symbolic turning point for the national team.
