A historic chapter in French football is coming to a close. After several years at the helm of the French national team, Didier Deschamps has announced his definitive departure from the position of head coach, immediately following Les Bleus' final match at the 2026 World Cup.

Visibly moved, the former coach confided to journalists: "I will miss the French team." This statement marks the end of an important era for the national sport, characterized by great stability and a strong collective identity within the French squad.

Didier Deschamps' record at the head of the national team is impressive. In addition to many years of work, he leaves behind solid statistics with 120 wins, 35 draws, and 30 losses. Above all, he will remain in history for having led Les Bleus to the ultimate title in a World Cup.

As the French football world pays tribute to his career, the French Football Federation must now prepare for the future. The name of Didier Deschamps' successor has not yet been officially revealed, but this transition represents a major challenge for French football in the coming months.
